Day 01 / (Arrival Delhi)
First day of your journey is for welcome at airport, on arrival in Delhi. You will be transferred to book hotel and night spending in Delhi.
Day 02 / (Sightseeing Tour of Delhi)
Taking breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and escorted for sightseeing tour of Old Delhi & New Delhi.
Old Delhi- where Raj Ghat - the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Masjid to Chandni Chowk and Red Fort will be seen.
New Delhi - where Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minare, Rajpath, India Gate, Parliament House, the President's Residence, Lotus Temple will be visited, and the last visit is the Diplomatic Enclave.
Day 03 / (On board Palace on Wheels)
Morning season of the day is free, and afternoon proceed to railway station to the super-fast luxurious air-conditioned train, from where the journey of a lifetime begines at the Delhi Cantonment station where the guests as well as tourists are accorded a warm & traditional welcome before the Palace on Wheels pulls out into the night ... for a week-long luxury journey from end to end colourful Rajasthan.
Day 04 / Jaipur
Jaipur is one of the most famous cities of the globe of its where the stop of Palace on Wheels. This royal capital city of Rajasthan is known as Pink City was founded by Maharaja Swai Jai Singh II in 1727 A.D. For sightseeing tour of the city, an air-conditioned luxurious coach takes you to palace of winds (Hawa Mahal). This magnificent palace is remarkable five storeys building along the main street of the old city in pink splendor with semi-octagonal and delicate honey combed sandstone windows.
Hawa Mahal is followed by a visit to Amber Fort which is located 11 km far from the city. Amber Fort provides an unforgettable comfy of elephant riding. After taking lunch at hotel, you will be transferred to the City Palace, home of the erstwhile royal family. Jantar Mantar, one of the largest observatories, was built by Sawai Jai Singh II. The Luxury coaches will take you back to Palace on Wheels around 6.30 pm. Dinner on Board.
Day 05 / Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer was founded by Rawal Jaisal, in 1156A.D. It has a magnificent fort built in yellow sandstone. Discover the painstakingly latticed havelis or mansions with their grand facades. The Nathmalji-ki-haveli, Patwon-ki-haveli and Salim Singh-ki-haveli are some of the finest examples of the stone carver's skill. Do shopping at Rajasthali-the only Rajasthan Govt. emporium, for fine pattu shawls, mirror work & embellished articles, wooden boxes, trinkets, silver jewellery and ornaments. Having buffet lunch on board, go for an exhilarating camel ride on the sand dunes of Sam, before drinking a refreshing cup of tea. Enjoy the dinner and the cultural programs at luxurious hotel in Jaisalmer.
Day 06 / Jodhpur
Early morning the Palace on wheels is in the second largest city Jodhpur of Rajasthan. The city was ringed by a high stone wall with seven gates and several fortresses. Rao Jodha founded Jodhpur in 1459 A.D. known for its rock-solid Mehrangarh Fort which houses Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana are the finest examples of architectural superiority. After lunch at hotel, go back to the Palace on Wheels. While in Jodhpur shop for the exquisite handcrafted articles consisting of the famous breeches, embellished shoes, metal curios, silverware, paintings and tie and dye fabrics.
Day 07 /Sawai Madhopur
the Palace on Wheels arrives in Sawai Madhopur, a city named after its founder Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I. Taking breakfast, proceed to the Ranthambhor National Park, where the ruins fort of a 10th century. This wildlife sanctuary is considered to be the country's best for observing and photographing the activities of the tiger. It is spread over 392sq.kms. The park, regarded as preserve home to more than 300 species of birds. The tiger, hyena, ratel, jackal and fox are among those constituting the carnivorous population here. Sawai Madhopur is known for its elite toys, ethnic ornaments and costumes. Later on say good bye to Palace on Wheels & transferred by chauffeur driver car to the City of Mughals - Agra. On arrival Agra & transfer to the luxurious hotel of the city. Night spend at hotel in Agra.
Day 08 / Agra-Varanasi
Morning tour to the magnificent Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, surely the most extravagant expression of love among the lovers. Shah Jahan built Taj Mahal in the memory of his beloved wife Mujmtaz Mahal in 1631. After it, visit the Agra fort - the rusty and majestic red-sandstone fort of Agra situated on the bank of River Yamuna. The Fort houses Diwan-I-Am, Diwan-I-Khas. After lunch you will be dropped at airport to board the flight to Varanasi - city of Ganges. Varanasi is the most sacred city of the country, situated on the western bank of the sacred river Ganga. It has a fascinationuniquely its own,a quality of sublime beauty, a timeless eternal charm. Varanasi is the city which cannot be depicted, only experienced. Arrival in Varanasi and transfer to hotel; Half day sightseeing tour of varanasi visiting the temples and in the evening view "Aarti" ceremony on the Ghats. Night stay at in Varanasi.
Day 09 / Varanasi-Delhi
Morning boat cruise at the river Ganges to scrutinize the way of life of pilgrims by the Ghats. Afterward explore to Sarnath. East of Varanasi, is one of the Buddhism's main centers of India. After attaining clarification, the Buddha came to Sarnath where he gave his first sermon. Also visit the deer park and the museum. Later on you will be dropped at airport to board the flight to Delhi.
