Day 01 / Arrival in Delhi
On arrival at IGI Airport of Delhi, meet our representative with warmth Indian traditional welcome. The representative will take you to check in at hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 02 / Delhi - Leh
Early morning after taking breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and dropped at the airport to catch the flight for Leh. Arrival leh receive by our representative and drive to hotel. Day is free for acclimatization. Dinner and overnight will be at hotel in Leh.
Day 03 / Spitok - Zinchen for Trekking (3,530m) 5-6 hours
After breakfast, trekking tour begins from Spitok by crossing a bridge and walking south-west of the River Indus. The trail passes by way of barren landscape for about 3 hours in anticipation of the Indus enters a narrow gorge at its confluence with the Zinchen. From here the trail climbs steadily through the Rumbak Valley, which is lined with trees, offering sufficient shade for a rest stop, before reaching the tiny village of Zinchen, which consists of just 4 or 5 houses. O/N at camp.
Day 04 / Trek to Yurutse. (3530-4,180m)
Track from Zinchen ascends slowly but surely all the way along the Rumbak Nala until you reach Rumbak, the leading village in the Zinchen Valley. Even supposing the fields are sophisticated, you may have to ford the river a few times up to Rumbak junction. Thereafter follow the well-marked road on the left bank of the Rumbak Nala, passing cultivated fields and dotted houses until you enter a side valley leading to the south. Additional trek on along the river until you reach Rumbak where you can see the snow capped peaks of the Stock Mountains. At this point, you take the right divergence of the river and keep on a gradual climb towards Yurutse, where the villagers grow Barlay, Potatoes and some green vegetables. Dinner and overnight stay will be at camp.
Day 05 / Trek to Shingo. (4180-4985mt)
This day after breakfast, follow the trail beside the river until the valley widens at Rumbak. After 10 minutes walk from the camp you have to cross the river to the right hand side. At this point, you can watch Golden Eagle nests up in the rocks. Afterward, set out to ascend the Gangala pass (4985 mts). You can have outstanding scenery of Stok Kangri massif from Gandala top on a clear day. Dinner and overnight stay will be at camp.
Day 06 / Trek to Skiu. (4985-3660m)
After breakfast and leaving the camp, a gradual ascent followed by a steep climb gets you to the Kundu La (4906m). Watch wonderful view of white-fringed mountains merging into the distant ranges of the Karakoram. The track descends steadily to the head of the Skiu Valley, where a number of rivulets add to form a small stream. The broad grassy shoulders of the upper valley narrow sharply to the pinched waist at Sumdo, with its few houses and fields at the intersection of a small stream with the Skiu Nala. The river swoops energetically down a stiff, narrow ravine, choked with willow and wild roses, and we follow the trail as it leaps from bank to bank all the way to the village of Skiu on the banks of the Lower Markha. Enter village tackleed by towering rock faces. Since Skiu is only at about 3660m and the Markha Valley is fairly narrow, the temperature is higher here. Dinner and overnight will be at camp.
Day 07 / Trek to Markha (3660-3200 MTS).
In the morning you will cross the river and trek up to the Markha village. It is the longest valley. An exquisite oasis-terraced green fields and small irrigation canals, at twilight just as the evening shadows begin to encase the valley; it is significance for walking along the trail where the Skiu Nala meets the Markha to explore a small monastery. This is cared for by an old nun, who comes each morning and evening to light the butter lamps at the altar of Chamba - the Future Buddha. Dinner and overnight stay will be at camp.
Day 08 / Trek to Thachungtse. (3,589m)
This day you have the pleasant walk up one of the loveliest sections of the Markha valley. Timbered bushes grow thickly along the river, which is spanned by many bridges over which the trail marches to Thinlespa village and further to Hankar village from where you get a goog view of Gyalpo-Ri peak. Dinner and overnight stay will at camp.
Day 09 / Trek to Nimaling. (3500-4,800m)
After taking your healthy breakfast, you will be transferred to clim steadily up the now narrow valley, past villages smaller and seemingly poorer than those in the lower territory. The Nimaling unadorned is a broad rising and falling meadow, sloping upwards to the base of the ice-clad Kang Yatse, 21,500ft/6,553m, which dominates the area. Nimaling with tiny ponds and rivulets flowing across its meadows offers pasturage in the summer for an a surprising number of animals; yaks, sheep, goats, dzos and horses, not only from the Markha, but also from villages all around. Himalayan marmots and white-tailed hares are descried in plenty and it is not extraordinary to spot the infrequent blue sheep or wolf. For dinner and overnight stay, proceed to the camp.
Day 10 / Nimaling
Full day is at leisure in order to take rest in comfortable ambiance of Nimaling and enjoy & explore the outstanding scenery and surroundings. There is the chance to walk to the base camp of Kang Yatze, the highest peak in the Zanskar range, 6,553m. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.
Day 11 / Cross Pass, Trek To Shang. (4800-3600m)
Get going for the north of the Markha, climb to the top of the highest of the three passes the 5,400m Kangmaru La with its exquisite as well as glamorous views from the top. Snow peaks in every direction and on a clear day the giants of the Karakoram, consisting of K2 can be seen on the north-western horizon. The trail descends steeply to the head of the Martselang valley past the sculpture springs of Chyushkarmo, and goes after the Martselang stream to the village of Sumdo or Shang-Sumdo, at the confluence of the Shang Nala and the Martselang. Dinner and overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 12 / Trek to Martselang - Leh
Early morning after taking breakfast, you make an easy descent mainly along the left bank of the Martselang to where it broadens into the valley of the Indus at the village of Martselang. Thereafter, you will be driven to Leh approx. 2hrs. On arrival, you will be transferred to check in at hotel for relaxing overnight.
Day 13 / Leh - Delhi
Early morning after breakfast, proceed to the airport to catch the flight for Delhi. On arrival, you will be connected to the globally for onward destination or back home with sweet memory of trekking.
